We are a non profit organization. We work under the precepts el Maestro Gilberto Aceves Navarro and his inexhaustible creativity that guided him during his long career. Through the preservation of his legacy, we are able to disseminate the message that art is the most viable option to encourage consciousness, empathy and reflection in individuals and society as a whole.
We work with people of all ages, however, a vital part of what we do is to enrich and expand the horizons of children who live in vulnerable situations. We strongly believe that through art they will have the time and place to understand and process their immediate realities.
Fundación Aceves Navarro began where el Maestro, Gilberto Aceves Navarro, produced his work and developed his pedagogical method for over forty years. A method that has its base in his long teaching career La Academia de San Carlos and later in La Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (UNAM).
Since then, Avenue Monterrey 327, in Colonia Roma, Mexico City has been a cultural space of plurality, of searching, of creative exploration, and of human and artistic growth where one can explore the critical commitment to art, culture and society. An innumerable amount of people have passed through this space who have been powerfully influenced and impacted by el Maestro Aceves Navarro - many of them are part of the current featured artists in the Mexican art scene.
